Docketing QA Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Oversee incoming communications from outside counsel, foreign agents, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and various PTOs for prompt review and processing.

• Assess incoming docketing communications to ensure compliance with PTO requirements, deadlines, and bibliographic data.

• Update records with bibliographic details sourced from official PTO documents and submitted responses.

• Revise records with tasks and their respective deadlines, or close tasks and deadlines based on official PTO documents and filed responses.

• Support clients and paralegals with projects related to U.S. and foreign prosecution.

• Consistently apply Anaqua Quality Assurance standards while reviewing and processing incoming communications.

• Utilize PTO, IP-related, and other resources to identify, investigate, and rectify application or database errors and inconsistencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of patent experience, ideally within a patent docketing environment.

• Proficient in IP filing and prosecution practices across the US, PCT, EP, and other major jurisdictions globally.

• A bachelor's degree is mandatory.

• Must be a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident.

• Ability to work remotely from within the United States is essential.

• Familiarity with ANAQUA and/or PATTSY platforms is required.

• Experience with FIP and other platforms is advantageous.

• Background in a docketing quality assurance (QA) role is a plus.

• Capability to prioritize, multitask, and adhere to Anaqua docketing standard operating procedures consistently.

• Ability to collaborate as part of a larger legal team while independently managing diverse tasks.
