This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Achieve sales targets and execute sales and account strategies.

• Create and implement Key Account Plans for major accounts.

• Identify, develop, and realize Project Opportunities within the Southern California–Los Angeles sales region.

• Reach out to and engage new customers, contractors, and business partners.

• Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers in accounts.

• Conduct sales calls and provide professional presentations to customers and industry stakeholders.

• Articulate product value propositions to various groups.

• Oversee annual sales plans and strategic account initiatives.

• Collaborate with local independent manufacturer’s representative agencies as instructed by regional sales management.

• Travel to offer training and support as needed.

• Prioritize and follow up on leads from trade shows and other sources.

• Assist cross-functional teams to ensure that client deliveries are executed as promised.

• Facilitate EDI and VMI adoption by distributors.

• Maintain monthly sales reports and business performance metrics.

• Provide weekly updates and daily/weekly/monthly reports to management.

• Track travel and incidental expenses, submitting expense reports accordingly.

• Keep CRM/SAP Mobile Sales activity calendars, opportunities, sales calls, customer links, and contractor rankings up to date.

• Attend meetings as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, along with 3 years of product sales experience.

• A valid and active Driver’s License is required.

• Demonstrated selling capabilities and a proven history of business development.

• Strong skills in sales call planning and execution.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SAP, and CRM applications.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Good listening abilities.

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.

• Proficient in relationship building and strategic selling techniques.

• Ability to analyze and predict changes in customers’ purchasing behaviors and product needs.

• Capability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Skill in identifying market trends and implementing competitive strategies.

• Proficiency in calculating discounts, profit margins, unit conversions, percentages, area, and volume.

• Ability to work from a home office effectively.

• Capability to deliver presentations to diverse audiences.

• Strong communication skills with all organizational levels.

• Ability to acquire and recruit new customers.

• Proven ability to achieve results within a matrix sales organization.

• Skill in creating demand and driving sales results with the installer segment.

• Willingness to travel to meet customer expectations and internal demands.

• Understanding of the construction bidding and specification project processes.

• Knowledge of the commercial construction market and its various buying influences.

• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
