This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.
• Provide direction and strategic planning for Territory Managers within designated districts.
• Oversee sales activities to enhance profitability and drive growth.
• Set annual sales targets, quotas, and forecasts.
• Estimate sales volume and profits for both existing and new properties.
• Allocate and reallocate accounts as needed.
• Recruit, inspire, nurture, and coach Territory Managers.
• Assess performance and offer feedback on progress towards objectives.
• Engage in staff recruitment, performance assessments, compensation evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
• Advocate for ongoing training and development.
• Lead change management initiatives to align with organizational objectives.
• Collaborate with Human Resources when appropriate.
• Support Territory Managers during sales calls and provide constructive insights.
• Take part in significant client presentations and discussions.
• Work in conjunction with operational divisions and internal teams.
• Boost sales by penetrating accounts and analyzing sales and volume data.
• Leverage product knowledge, ROI insights, analytical research tools, and sales training resources to identify prospects.
• Cultivate, maintain, and expand customer relationships.
• Provide internal teams with customer service information and advance notifications.
• Monitor accounts and take corrective measures to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Escalate accounts at risk and unresolved issues to management.
• Coordinate with accounts receivable to facilitate timely invoice payments.
• Travel throughout the assigned district, including overnight stays when necessary.
• Work evening and weekend hours as dictated by customer requirements.
• High School diploma is mandatory.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent relevant industry experience is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in successfully driving profitable sales within the foodservice sector.
• Over 5 years of foodservice sales experience is highly desired.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication, interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and closing abilities.
• Strong leadership qualities, including mentoring and developing individuals and teams.
• In-depth understanding of financial principles, including pricing strategies and forecasting.
• Capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including customer databases, internet navigation, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).
• Familiarity with Phocas, Gforce, Box, Salesforce.com, and PeopleSoft is advantageous.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and operate computer and telephone equipment.
• Capability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
• Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company minimum criteria.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
