This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee and expand sales within the designated district, consistently achieving or surpassing revenue, profitability, and performance goals.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with current customers through effective communication, responsive support, and a keen understanding of their business requirements.
• Discover, pursue, and secure new sales opportunities.
• Facilitate customer meetings, business reviews, planning sessions, product training, and fleet assessments.
• Acquire a thorough understanding of filtration products and offer hands-on assistance during inventory counts, product transitions, and inventory relocations.
• Address customer concerns and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues.
• Keep track of market trends, competitive actions, customer requirements, and industry challenges.
• Formulate and execute territory sales strategies.
• Maintain comprehensive customer records, sales activities, fleet reports, business documents, and necessary documentation within CRM systems.
• Work in partnership with sales representatives, product trainers, and internal business associates.
• Travel approximately 30–40% within the territory, including daily driving and overnight travel as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of five years of relevant sales experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proven experience in managing customer accounts, developing new business, or supporting a designated sales territory.
• Capability to meet sales, revenue, profitability, or other quantifiable business objectives.
• Strong skills in building customer relationships, negotiation, and problem-solving.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to provide hands-on customer and product support.
• Ability to deliver product training and convey technical information effectively.
• Capacity to work independently while collaborating with a regional sales team.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 40–50%, including overnight trips.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Residence in, or willingness to relocate at personal expense to, the Rochester or Buffalo, New York area.
• Preferred: sales experience in the automotive aftermarket, heavy-duty, off-road equipment, filtration, or a related field.
• Preferred: experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM system.
• Preferred: experience with fleet assessments or customer business reviews.
• Preferred: experience with inventories, product transitions, or inventory relocations.
• Preferred: knowledge of filtration products or other mechanical and technical product lines.
