This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Oversee and expand a well-established territory valued at approximately $3M.
• Discover opportunities to enhance customer relationships and boost market share.
• Collaborate with distributors, one-step dealers, and independent lumber yards to fulfill their business requirements.
• Sustain existing business while actively seeking and cultivating new opportunities.
• Represent metal roofing, wall panel systems, trims, and accessory products across residential, agricultural, and commercial sectors.
• Conduct educational programs for customers and training sessions for contractors.
• Support initiatives that encourage contractor pull-through.
• Work in partnership with operations, branch leadership, estimating, and customer support teams.
• Manage a significant volume of customer interactions and transactions.
• Assist customers in transitioning through product and system integration initiatives following operational changes.
• Travel throughout the designated territories of Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware.
• Function in office settings, while driving, in customer-facing roles, and at job sites.
• Inspect rooftops during customer claims or project review processes.
• Preferred 3–5+ years of sales experience.
• Strong preference for experience in building materials, metal roofing, construction products, or related industries.
• Highly preferred understanding of dealer and distribution sales channels.
• Valued experience in estimating, project management, inside sales, or customer-facing construction support roles.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with a dedication to consistent customer follow-up.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple opportunities, and work independently.
• Comfortable functioning in a fast-paced, customer-centric sales environment.
• Outstanding communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation required.
• Capability to meet customers regularly throughout the designated territory.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with customers.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to learn and adapt to various systems and technologies.
• Frequent travel within the assigned territory, up to 60% of the time.
• Capability to climb ladders and inspect rooftops during customer claim or project review processes.
• Occasional lifting of product samples and materials may be necessary.
