This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Oversee and expand an approximate $3M territory.
• Discover opportunities to enhance customer relationships, boost market share, and drive new business growth.
• Collaborate with distributors, one-step dealers, and independent lumber yards.
• Sustain existing business while actively seeking and developing new opportunities.
• Market metal roofing, wall panel systems, trims, and accessory products across residential, agricultural, and commercial sectors.
• Facilitate customer education and contractor training sessions.
• Support contractor pull-through sales initiatives.
• Work alongside operations, branch leadership, estimating, and customer support teams.
• Manage a high volume of customer interactions and transactions.
• Assist customers in transitioning through product and system integration initiatives.
• Travel throughout the designated territory and inspect rooftops during customer claims or project assessments.
• A minimum of 5 years of sales experience is preferred.
• Experience in building materials, metal roofing, construction products, or related industries is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of dealer and distribution sales channels is preferred.
• Valued experience in estimating, project management, inside sales, or customer-facing construction support roles.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with a focus on consistent customer follow-up.
• Self-motivated with the capability to prioritize, manage numerous opportunities, and work autonomously.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-oriented sales environment.
• Exceptional communication, organization, and time management abilities.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
• Capable of meeting with customers regularly across the territory.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly build credibility and rapport with customers.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to learn and adapt to various systems and technologies.
• Willingness to travel frequently throughout the assigned territory, up to 60% of the time.
• Capability to climb ladders and inspect rooftops.
• Occasional lifting of product samples and materials may be required.
