This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Oversee, support, and enhance sales for regional distribution accounts.
• Engage in regular and thorough communication with existing distribution partners and seek out potential partners for further regional expansion.
• Conduct frequent sales calls with end-user partners to gather customer feedback and identify potential new product development (NPD) opportunities for future growth.
• Create and implement a Time & Territory Plan that ensures contact with all distributor and representative locations within the designated area.
• Maintain an active sales growth funnel in the CRM system, including established projects that aid in the overall sales pipeline.
• Prepare and deliver presentations showcasing BAND-IT's capabilities and solutions to customers and prospective clients.
• Keep abreast of BAND-IT’s technical, service, support, and product offerings, and effectively communicate this information to customers and potential clients.
• Analyze and report on end-user applications, identify issues to address, and highlight opportunities, subsequently proposing and presenting BAND-IT solutions to customers.
• Identify, document, and pursue sales leads as well as new customer opportunities.
• Participate in resolving customer complaints and product returns within the assigned region, ensuring all issues are documented and tracked through the correct processes.
• Employ a “value selling” strategy and available tools to present BAND-IT’s value compared to competitive or alternative fastening solutions.
• Recommend, prepare, and obtain approval for pricing and quotations as required.
• Suggest and engage in approved customer events such as supplier shows, field sales meetings, conventions, and other relevant events in the area, utilizing additional internal resources as necessary.
• Travel up to 50% of the time.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in selling to and supporting various types and sizes of industrial distributors, along with direct relevant selling and industry experience (industrial products) is required.
• Relevant experience in building relationships with customers, including OEMs, contractors, industrial partners, municipal entities, or engineering consultants.
