This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Design and develop a diverse array of modules and components for a system that supports over 24 million queries per second with minimal latency.
• Enhance software for improved response times and efficient resource utilization.
• Ensure the dependability and scalability of the solutions developed.
• Generate performance and accuracy tests for newly created system components.
• Evaluate new technologies for their suitability in production environments.
• Create tools for monitoring and analyzing the operation of production systems.
• Continuously refine existing tools and processes.
• Strong understanding of intricate IT systems, encompassing hardware, software, and algorithms.
• Expertise in programming.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Internet protocols and technologies, such as DNS, HTTP, and cookies.
• Familiarity with techniques for developing concurrent programs and distributed systems.
• Practical skills in observing, monitoring, and analyzing production systems.
• Ability to critically evaluate solutions for performance, from theoretical assessments to resolving real-world performance challenges.
• General understanding of issues related to high scalability and high availability.
• Proficiency in English and Polish at a C1 level.
• Educational background in Computer Science, with a focus on algorithmic complexity and system architecture, through a formal CS degree, competitive programming experience like OI/ICPC, or a comparable track record.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Java, Python, Aerospike, Memcached, Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, MinIO, Kafka, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Jenkins, and Graphite.
• Involvement in projects that prioritize extreme performance and high code quality, where clean code and thorough code reviews are the norm.
