Dispatcher/Routers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Engage in ongoing communication with WM drivers to facilitate problem resolution during their routes.

• Manage incoming service orders, guide drivers, and rectify service-related issues.

• Collaborate with WM customer service, sales, and operational personnel, including Route Managers and Mechanics.

• Utilize WM proprietary software to oversee same-day ticket routing and prepare routes for the following day.

• Assign drivers to calls based on customer requirements, driver locations, loads, and daily variables.

• Partner with sites and the service department to enhance routing efficiency.

• Assess daily driver staffing levels to maintain a balance between responsiveness and productivity.

• Allocate routes and service tickets to the appropriate drivers throughout the day and for the following day.

• Oversee route actions and ensure successful route completion.

• Address incoming calls and emails from customer service and sales teams.

• Manage requests for pickups and deliveries of container movements within the market area.

• Communicate with customers while drivers are on-site to address pickup and other service concerns.

• Identify and resolve potential issues related to delivery and pickup.

• Guarantee same-day service for missed pickups by managing routing and tracking driver movements in the field.

• Interact face-to-face with assigned sites as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.

• A minimum of 6 months of relevant work experience.

• Experience in a team-oriented environment.

• Strong ability to communicate effectively across various departments.

• Capability to multitask in a dynamic work setting.

• Outstanding organizational abilities.

• Flexibility to work within the hours of 3am–7pm MT, Monday–Friday, with some Saturday availability.

• Willingness to travel up to 15% may be necessary.

• Must possess or be willing to obtain a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required for business travel or access to federal properties.
