This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.
• Develop and sustain relationships with colleges, universities, and educational systems.
• Collaborate with Business Development and Delivery teams to enhance the experiences of students and faculty.
• Engage with University Cabinets, Provosts, CIOs, and VPs of Enrollment/Advancement to broaden Coastal’s presence in Higher Education.
• Formulate business and territory plans that align with academic fiscal years and recruitment cycles.
• Identify and cultivate opportunities through institutional networking, EDUCAUSE, and Higher Ed user groups.
• Oversee the relationship lifecycle from campus-wide discovery to procurement/RFP and project initiation.
• Lead discovery discussions covering Recruitment & Admissions, Student Success, Advancement, and Lifelong Learning.
• Present Salesforce Education Cloud and Education Data Architecture (EDA) solutions that align with institutional strategic initiatives and accreditation objectives.
• Offer after-sales support to encourage user adoption among faculty, staff, and students.
• Maintain forecasting and pipeline management for visibility to leadership.
• Collaborate with Salesforce.org Higher Ed RVPs and AEs on co-prime opportunities.
• Align business development initiatives with Higher Ed-specific delivery frameworks.
• Prepare estimates and Statements of Work (SOWs) that account for academic calendars, phased implementations, and institutional budget limitations.
• Travel as necessary for campus visits and to finalize partnerships.
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience as a Salesforce Delivery Consultant or in a similar position.
• 5+ years of Sales experience is preferred, though candidates with less sales experience may still be considered.
• Proven success in portfolio growth through the generation, shaping, and capturing of leads.
• Extensive experience within the Salesforce Ecosystem, particularly with Education Cloud, EDA, and HEDA.
• Ability to take initiative and actively pursue sales opportunities.
• Dedication to fostering long-term customer relationships and securing business through trust.
• Consultative approach with an understanding of Higher Ed governance, shared governance structures, and departmental silos.
• Knowledge of and connections within the Salesforce portfolio and solutions such as Mulesoft, Tableau, and Slack.
• Exceptional communication, preparation, strategy, presentation, and execution skills.
• Capability to collaboratively project manage a sales cycle involving pre-sales, delivery, SMEs, and industry professionals.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities; detail-oriented and process-driven.
• Proficiency with Salesforce, Zoominfo, and LinkedIn.
• Must possess full-time permanent work authorization in the US.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Experience as a Salesforce Consultant, ideally at an implementation partner.
• Salesforce Education Cloud Consultant Certification preferred.
