This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Propel the transition of agents to partners through key initiatives in Small Commercial.
• Work collaboratively with Underwriting and Regional Field Leadership.
• Guide and mentor Small Commercial Sales Managers.
• Take ownership of and cultivate small commercial business strategies for designated regions.
• Lead and support the execution of strategic initiatives at both regional and local levels.
• Partner with Sales Managers to create territory business plans.
• Foster collaboration with agents to provide swift, adaptable, and customized insurance solutions.
• Integrate partnership strategies and insights from the small commercial marketplace into effective sales management.
• Enhance the competencies of Sales Managers and institutionalize sales training exercises.
• Carry out competency evaluations and offer RVP insights regarding Sales Managers' performance.
• Provide consulting on performance management.
• Coach Sales Managers on daily sales operations.
• Coordinate with Small Commercial headquarters regarding product and service improvements.
• Drive regional objectives through collaboration with business partners, RVPs/REs, and key franchise stakeholders.
• Amplify enterprise engagement and influence among leadership from other business units.
• Assess territory needs, growth potential, and developmental pathways.
• Tackle complex issues using independent judgment, creativity, and industry expertise.
• Implement company business strategies to foresee business requirements based on industry trends.
• Oversee and mentor Small Commercial Sales Managers.
• Formulate strategies alongside senior leadership, agents, underwriting, state management, actuarial, operations, marketing, claims, loss control, vendors, and various other functions.
• Deliver competitive intelligence and local market insights to state management.
• Coach on account opportunity analysis and maintain pipeline discipline.
• Plan, manage, and execute projects and programs.
• Over 10 years of demonstrated experience in sales and sales management within the small commercial insurance or financial services sector.
• Advanced skills in sales and marketing.
• Proven ability to develop new business and nurture talent.
• Outstanding mentoring and training abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, encompassing face-to-face interactions, group presentations, phone communications, and written correspondence.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Capacity to collaborate with and influence senior-level field leadership across various branches and/or regions.
• Proficiency in managing 8–10 sales professionals while balancing multiple sales priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• A strong drive for action and results, complemented by a competitive spirit and achievement focus.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com is advantageous.
• Understanding of project and program management principles, theories, practices, and techniques.
• Professional designations such as CPCU or CIC are preferred.
• Full-time, exempt employment status.
