This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and nurture the development of Account Executives.
• Drive sales initiatives for new business opportunities while fostering growth in existing regional customer relationships.
• Create and execute an annual sales business plan to meet Air Methods KPIs.
• Conduct succession planning, including cross-training for Regional Business Development Directors.
• Ensure that marketing programs align with Air Methods standards and branding goals while collaborating with community partners.
• Assist in preparing annual capital and operational budgets for the sales and marketing initiatives in the region.
• Plan, organize, and implement events and special programs.
• Collaborate with the SVP Sales and Regional Vice President to provide timely updates on changes in business, demographics, and competitive markets.
• Assess compliance with performance metrics and identify any variances.
• Work alongside Regional Directors to achieve sales, business development, and partnership goals.
• Ensure that all business activities adhere to Air Methods standards.
• Act as the primary contact in contractual negotiations that impact regional operations.
• Maintain essential customer relationships and partnerships.
• Assess the risks and benefits associated with contractual agreements and adjust existing and new contracts as necessary.
• Represent Air Methods regionally with customers, influencers, and government officials.
• Oversee Account Executives, which includes hiring, training, assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, addressing disciplinary issues, resolving complaints, and problem-solving.
• Maintain a consistent attendance record and travel as required.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, along with ten years of relevant experience and/or training in aviation or medical transportation services; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in sales and/or business development.
• Preferred experience in medical transportation services or healthcare business development/sales.
• Proven ability to manage a remote sales team effectively.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Capable of managing and overseeing a wide range of tasks.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions aligned with essential job functions.
• Competent in preparing written reports, correspondence, and presentations for senior leadership.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and a professional demeanor; excellent interpersonal abilities.
• Proven ability to cultivate and maintain positive relationships both internally and externally.
• Established leadership experience in a sales-driven environment.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MapPoint, and Outlook.
• Consistent and reliable attendance.
• Willingness and ability to travel (specific percentage not provided).
