Director, Product Software Engineering – AI

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement the engineering vision, strategy, and roadmap for Firm Intelligence products and platforms.

• Oversee multiple engineering teams and managers, ensuring they align with business goals and product strategy.

• Propel organizational transformation through contemporary engineering practices, cloud solutions, automation, and AI capabilities.

• Set engineering standards, development frameworks, and best practices that enhance quality, speed, and scalability.

• Advocate for the adoption of AI-driven software development and intelligent product functionalities.

• Collaborate with Product Management to pinpoint opportunities where AI, automation, and advanced analytics can deliver measurable customer value.

• Steer architectural decisions related to cloud-native applications, APIs, platform services, and AI-integrated solutions.

• Promote experimentation, rapid learning, and ongoing improvement.

• Work alongside customers, product leaders, and business stakeholders to translate challenges into innovative tech solutions.

• Leverage data and operational metrics to inform product decisions, prioritize investments, and assess success.

• Build, nurture, and retain high-performing engineering leaders and teams.

• Mentor managers and senior engineers through guidance, technical leadership, and career development.

• Foster an inclusive, collaborative culture that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.

• Oversee budgets, resource planning, and organizational priorities to facilitate strategic growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of software engineering experience with progressive leadership roles.

• More than 5 years of experience leading engineering managers and multiple software engineering teams.

• Proven experience in delivering cloud-native software products and platforms utilizing Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

• Strong grasp of modern software architecture, APIs, DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and Agile delivery methodologies.

• Experience leading teams focused on building AI-enabled products.

• Familiarity with LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, and AI governance.

• Proficiency in using AI development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.).

• Experience in customer-centric product development and co-design.

• Demonstrated ability to drive engineering strategy and implementation within a matrixed enterprise environment.

• Proven success in building and scaling engineering organizations.

• Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and organizational leadership capabilities.
