Director, Product Management – Hardware

📋 Description

• Oversee PAR's Hardware Product Management division.

• Take ownership of the Drive-Thru product portfolio, encompassing both existing and upcoming solutions.

• Establish the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and evaluate business performance.

• Implement long-term growth strategies for next-generation Drive-Thru solutions and their supporting ecosystems.

• Lead the planning of the portfolio across various hardware product lines.

• Utilize AI tools to consolidate customer and market insights, enhancing portfolio decision-making.

• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, engage with customers, and refine product positioning.

• Convert customer challenges and market possibilities into product specifications and commercial strategies.

• Track product performance metrics and enhance adoption, customer satisfaction, profitability, and market share.

• Guide, mentor, and cultivate the Hardware Product Management team.

• Implement product management processes, tools, and best practices.

• Develop career advancement plans and succession strategies for Product Managers.

• Collaborate with Engineering and Project Management on hardware and software-enabled solutions.

• Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept to launch and ongoing support.

• Ensure that requirements are defined, prioritized, and aligned with both customer and business goals.

• Engage in go-to-market planning and launch readiness initiatives.

• Serve as the voice of the customer and the business throughout the product development process.

• Monitor metrics related to revenue, margin, adoption, and customer satisfaction.

• Create forecasts and investment proposals for executive leadership.

• Identify opportunities for revenue growth through new products, services, and expansion into adjacent markets.

• Report to the Senior Director of Hardware and act as a key contributor to the Hardware Leadership Team.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of experience in Product Management.

• More than 5 years of experience leading Product Managers and product organizations.

• Proven success in managing complex hardware and technology product portfolios.

• Background in restaurant technology, drive-thru solutions, retail technology, POS systems, or connected hardware platforms.

• Experience in launching embedded or IoT-based products.

• Familiarity with SaaS, cloud-connected hardware ecosystems, and subscription business models.

• Experience collaborating with global manufacturing, supply chain, and ODM/OEM partners.

• Strong grasp of product lifecycle management, roadmap planning, and go-to-market execution.

• Experience in developing business cases and managing products with P&L responsibility.

• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation abilities.

• Demonstrated capability to lead through influence across cross-functional teams.

• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada.
