This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and implement reimbursement and health economics services for Fortrea clients.

• Act as a specialist strategic consultant and advisor for reimbursement-related initiatives.

• Collaborate with customers, healthcare providers, payers, and government entities regarding policy issues.

• Identify and engage potential clients through Business Development efforts.

• Recruit, mentor, and assign tasks to new personnel and independent advisors; conduct performance evaluations as required.

• Reach out to potential clients to communicate Fortrea’s capabilities in health economics and reimbursement.

• Draft and review consulting proposals and finalize client service contracts.

• Seek opportunities to refer business to other Fortrea divisions or business units.

• Review and amend health economics and reimbursement proposals and Work Orders according to client specifications.

• Generate client deliverables such as white papers, abstracts, journal articles, presentations, and PC-based sales tools.

• Formulate and execute reimbursement and economic evidence strategies for both new and existing products.

• Monitor changes in government, private payer, and AMA policies that impact coding, coverage, and payment.

• Integrate relevant policies into reimbursement support initiatives.

• Represent Fortrea at trade associations, startup incubators, investment groups, webinars, podcasts, and presentations.

• Drive the expansion of the health economics and reimbursement consulting practice.

• Assist in marketing initiatives for regulatory and clinical teams.

• Manage client expectations, satisfaction, and senior-level client relationships.

• Develop and oversee business development strategies, RFI/RFP responses, proposals, work orders, bid defenses, and presentations.

• Tailor proposals to meet customer needs and the competitive landscape.

• Lead proposal operational strategy, messaging, differentiators, strategy, and content.

• Collaborate with leadership on cross-business initiatives to foster growth and expansion.

• Help shape and implement the MDD vision, strategy, initiatives, and priorities.

• Monitor and assess progress against objectives and plans in a global, virtual, and complex landscape.

• Ensure uniformity in quality, standards, policies, processes, and practices across the MDD business.

• Coach and guide team members while promoting continuous learning.

• Attract, select, onboard, develop, and retain high-performing talent in management roles.

• Lead portfolio growth and delivery while maintaining consistent quality.

• Align resources with current and anticipated work by capability, quantity, timing, and efficiency.

• Contribute to commercial, operational, reimbursement, and scientific leadership.

• Take part in training on MDD, regulatory updates, and GCP.

• Prepare clients, sites, and teams for regulatory inspections and partake in the inspection processes.

• Act as the executive lead and senior principal advisor to clients and MDD teams.

• Develop and deliver reimbursement training for clients and Fortrea staff.

• Execute other assigned responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant field such as business administration, public health, public policy, law, clinical science, health services research, and health economics (relevant and equivalent experience may be accepted in place of educational qualifications).

• Significant experience in developing and implementing reimbursement strategies within the medical device sector or as a consultant at Fortrea or in a similar setting.

• A minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience preferred.

• Willingness to travel for client meetings.

• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required to adhere to project timelines.

• Willingness to travel 20–30% of the time, with 75% of that travel requiring an overnight stay.

• Strong knowledge of reimbursement processes.

• Familiarity with reimbursement strategies, coverage, coding and payment regulations, economic models, government policies, private payer guidelines, and AMA policy updates.
