
Director of Training – Pharmaceutical Sales

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Create, develop, and implement training materials for both current and upcoming products.
• Identify, develop, and execute advanced learning programs centered on clinical expertise, skill enhancement, strategic collaborations, and account management.
• Establish learning and development goals and initiatives that translate strategy into actionable behaviors for high-performing commercial field teams.
• Assist new hires with onboarding, completion of initial training, and ongoing skill enhancement.
• Collaborate with sales leadership and various departments including sales, marketing, commercial operations, market access, human resources, and IT.
• Implement learning programs across onboarding, self-study curricula, live and virtual training sessions, as well as area, regional, and national sales meetings/POAs.
• Evaluate knowledge gaps within field teams and address them through targeted training initiatives and programs.
• Acquire knowledge about new disease-state materials and facilitate training on them promptly.
• Assess training participants' competency levels and provide comprehensive evaluations and feedback.
• Collaborate with sales management to develop tailored development plans.
• Ensure that activities and materials adhere to internal regulatory and legal standards.
• Partner with Sales, Medical/Clinical, Legal, Regulatory, and other strategic stakeholders to create and deliver training.
• Oversee and manage the LMS administrator and distance-learning technology for commercial field teams.
• Manage vendor relationships from selection through content development and implementation.
• Conduct presentation skills training for speakers from medical and commercial teams.
• Engage in research to support the development of future training materials.
• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a successful sales representative in pharmaceuticals or medical equipment.
• At least 6 years of experience in a national sales training department.
• Proven experience in curriculum development and delivery.
• Prior experience in a pharmaceutical training setting is essential.
• Experience in a pharmaceutical sales environment with training exposure is required.
• Proven ability to support a detailed, multi-component program from inception to completion in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Product launch experience or experience with major new indication launches is preferred.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• A strong track record in developing and executing successful training programs.
• Highly proficient in MS Office and other related business and communication tools.
• Familiarity with both traditional and modern training methodologies and adult learning principles.
• Working knowledge of effective instructional design.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• A strategic and innovative mindset.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Expertise in training and facilitation.
• Willingness to travel 50% based on the training needs of clients.
