This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee teams and technologies tasked with production infrastructure, cloud operations, site reliability, infrastructure automation, corporate IT, and internal technology services.
• Take charge of TuneIn’s cloud platform, focusing on infrastructure security, observability, operational excellence, maintenance, and cost management.
• Direct corporate IT functions, encompassing technology governance, incident response, and vendor management.
• Supervise engineers who support cross-functional platform capabilities and embedded engineering teams that align with key business initiatives.
• Enhance operational excellence across production systems, ensuring high availability, scalability, resilience, security, and cost efficiency.
• Spearhead reliability initiatives related to observability, monitoring, alerting, incident management, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and service level objectives (SLOs).
• Collaborate with Engineering to boost deployment velocity, operational readiness, and production reliability.
• Advance CI/CD platforms, developer tooling, and self-service functionalities.
• Manage major production incidents, conduct root cause analyses, postmortems, and implement corrective actions.
• Define the strategy, roadmap, and progression of cloud infrastructure, platform services, and infrastructure automation.
• Establish the AWS infrastructure strategy, governance, identity and access management (IAM), networking, Kubernetes platform, cloud architecture, and lifecycle management for infrastructure.
• Supervise production networking, DNS, cloud identity, cloud security tools, platform services, and infrastructure automation.
• Drive cloud cost optimization, capacity planning, forecasting, and operational reporting.
• Develop, implement, and monitor security policies; organize security reviews, penetration tests, awareness initiatives, and bug bounty programs.
• Own and enhance the incident response strategy and coordinate responses during security incidents.
• Lead corporate IT functions, including endpoint management, identity and access management, SaaS administration, helpdesk operations, asset lifecycle management, and employee onboarding/offboarding.
• Oversee collaboration technologies, conferencing systems, office technology, and enterprise productivity platforms.
• Manage vendor relationships, software licensing, renewals, procurement, and IT budget planning.
• Assess and implement emerging technologies, including AI-enhanced productivity tools.
• Build, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing Technical Operations team.
• Set priorities, metrics, and operational processes; encourage cross-functional collaboration; develop roadmaps; and communicate infrastructure health, operational metrics, security posture, and strategic initiatives to engineering leadership.
• Professional fluency in English is mandatory.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud operations, platform engineering, site reliability, or technical operations.
• At least 5 years of engineering management experience leading technical teams.
• Experience in managing large-scale production environments on AWS.
• Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes, containerized infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or Pulumi), and contemporary CI/CD platforms.
• Strong understanding of observability tools, including Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar technologies.
• Proven experience in leading incident response, operational excellence programs, disaster recovery planning, and initiatives for production reliability.
• Solid knowledge of networking, IAM, cloud security, and distributed systems architecture.
• Experience managing enterprise IT environments, including identity management, endpoint management, SaaS ecosystems, and employee technology.
• Demonstrated ability to drive automation, enhance engineering productivity, and minimize operational complexity.
• Experience balancing reliability, performance, security, and cloud cost optimization.
• Exceptional communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on technical background with the credibility to guide architectural decisions while empowering engineers.
• Nice to have: experience with high-scale consumer internet or streaming platforms.
• Nice to have: familiarity with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Cloudflare, Route53, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
• Nice to have: knowledge of Zero Trust networking, modern endpoint management, and enterprise security best practices.
• Nice to have: experience managing globally distributed engineering teams.
