This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement human capital strategies that focus on growth while aligning with the business objectives of Brown & Brown’s Retail Business Segment.
• Lead the Team Resources Business Partner function, which includes assigning coverage, mentoring, developing, and assessing regional TRBPs.
• Act as the primary Team Resources leader for division presidents and senior business leaders.
• Convert business strategies into a human capital vision, establishing priorities and execution plans.
• Provide coaching to leaders regarding expectations, feedback, recognition, accountability, managing underperformance, resolving conflicts, and making tough personnel decisions.
• Collaborate on organizational design, workforce planning, staffing levels, and alignment of compensation.
• Assess organizational effectiveness, talent capacity, role clarity, spans and layers, leadership bench strength, and retention risks.
• Implement hiring plans and enhance hiring results in collaboration with Talent Acquisition.
• Supervise talent review processes, succession planning, leadership development, career pathing, internal mobility, and learning initiatives.
• Offer guidance on policy interpretation, documentation, investigations, performance management, disciplinary issues, and risk mitigation.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, company policies, and internal audit standards.
• Manage the human aspect of acquisitions, integrations, divestitures, restructurings, office expansions or consolidations, and other organizational changes.
• Provide strategic advice to business office leaders and compile teammate feedback to assist in leadership decision-making.
• Identify challenges and implement innovative solutions that enhance organic growth, margins, and scalability.
• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) from an accredited college or university.
• Over 15 years of experience in strategic leadership across various functions with a focus on directing significant resources.
• Proven success in leading Team Resources teams responsible for talent acquisition, workforce development, employment practices, training, and leadership development outcomes.
• Experience in collaborating with Finance, Technology, and other business leaders on workforce plans, talent forecasts, business performance metrics and reports, and strategies to address talent gaps.
• MBA or MA/MS in business or a human resources-related field (preferred).
• SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) (preferred).
• Previous experience in the insurance industry (preferred).
