Director of Global Strategy – Programs

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Establish the global strategy for CodeAI, defining objectives, KPIs, and market initiatives to enhance access to and adoption of CS + AI education.

• Take ownership of global performance by utilizing data, market insights, and partner feedback to uncover opportunities and enhance impact.

• Determine where the Global team can achieve the most significant effect, striking a balance between in-depth engagement in key markets and scalable strategies elsewhere.

• Function independently as a strategic leader while aligning priorities across the entire organization.

• Develop and expand global programs that enable partners and ecosystems to sustainably deliver CodeAI's learning experiences.

• Create strategies for both broad and deep market engagement, incorporating frameworks and partner models that integrate curriculum, products, marketing, operations, and partnerships.

• Obtain leadership and cross-functional support and resources necessary for global strategies.

• Tailor programs and operational models to local contexts while upholding CodeAI's mission and standards.

• Lead and nurture a small Global team, setting objectives, coaching, and facilitating career advancement.

• Oversee the Global team's budget and manage relationships with vendors and contracted partners.

• Develop systems for consistent execution, measurement, and reporting throughout the partner ecosystem.

• Represent CodeAI's global initiatives to government officials, nonprofit and education partners, and the media.

• Convert global strategy and market dynamics into compelling narratives that influence organizational decisions.

• Foster cross-team understanding of how global insights and partnerships shape broader strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in driving systemic change in K-12 education globally, especially in AI and Computer Science education.

• Extensive experience in nonprofit environments, collaborating with ministries of education, school systems, and teacher networks to enhance equitable access to CS education.

• An entrepreneurial and autonomous work style, capable of aligning programs and partnerships within complex educational ecosystems to achieve measurable results.

• Proficiency in designing and scaling programs that cover multiple workstreams: curriculum, teacher professional development, government relations, and partner enablement.

• Comfort in presenting strategic frameworks to boards and funders, as well as inspiring educators and partners directly.

• Proven history of developing data-driven systems that evaluate program effectiveness and impact on students and teachers at scale.

• Recognized as a trusted mentor and collaborator who fosters alignment around common goals among diverse teams and partners.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

• Available to work within the continental United States.

• Must pass a pre-employment background check.

• Willingness to travel at least twice a year for team events.
