Director of Finance – Business Performance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Oversee the entire finance function through a proactive transition.

• Establish precise and controlled financial reporting while safeguarding cash flow and payroll.

• Take ownership of budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash management planning.

• Enhance visibility of profitability across locations, brands, channels, and products.

• Assess pricing strategies, promotions, and investment decisions using real business cases.

• Revamp the finance team's organization, systems, and controls.

• Ultimately develop a successor.

• Assume responsibility for the finance function and transform it into a real-time decision-making engine for the business.

• Option to remain integrated, cultivate a successor, or broaden responsibilities across the portfolio once operations stabilize.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive senior finance leadership experience, preferably at the CFO level.

• Proven history of enhancing profitability, forecasting, and cash management.

• Strong commercial acumen—expertise in pricing, unit economics, and investment analysis.

• Proficient, hands-on experience with AI and contemporary finance tools.

• Professional finance/accounting qualification is highly preferred.

• Experience within a complex, multi-location hospitality, retail, or restaurant sector.

• Client-facing advisory or consulting experience is essential.

• Background in challenging executives with concrete evidence rather than mere opinions.
