This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise and guarantee all compliance initiatives throughout the organization
• Report to the Legal Team of Attune’s parent company as well as Attune’s Chief Underwriting Officer
• Collaborate with the executive team and external partners
• Represent Attune’s compliance function while promoting an ethical and well-regulated organizational culture
• Maintain essential relationships with carrier partners
• Manage licensure, state compliance, and corporate governance
• Develop and continually refine regulatory compliance processes and procedures
• Ensure compliance with rules and regulations established by state Departments of Insurance and other relevant agencies
• Identify corporate compliance requirements and regulatory needs through thorough analysis
• Create internal standards, procedures, best practices, and controls
• Test and audit business processes and insurance operations
• Recognize and relay opportunities for legal and regulatory compliance
• Act as the corporate compliance resource expert for employees, management, and executives
• Assist counsel in providing guidance to senior management on regulatory and compliance issues
• Ensure day-to-day operations align with laws, rules, discipline strategies, and standard procedures
• Lead Fraud Prevention training and collaborate with the carrier’s Special Investigation Unit
• Ensure that personal, entity, and sub-producer licenses are up to date
• Guarantee that statutory and tax reporting is accurate and timely, including surplus lines reporting
• Serve as the primary Compliance liaison for carriers, regulators, and other entities
• Oversee the compliance program for the Office of Foreign Asset Control
• Conduct niche audits of insurance operations processes and external vendors
• Assist with compliance programs, employee training, legal matters, and special projects
• 10-15 years of experience working with an insurance producer or Property & Casualty insurer in a compliance-related role
• Extensive experience in establishing and managing a compliance function
• Familiarity with regulatory best practices relevant to a producer operating on a national scale
• Experience with DOI is preferred
• Knowledge of surplus lines is a plus
• Strong research and analytical capabilities
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and cultivate robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Sound judgment, professional counsel, discretion, and professionalism
• Capability to effectively present information and address questions from all levels of employees and management
• Ability to communicate with senior management, legislators, and regulators with confidence and exceptional accuracy
• Excellent communication and writing proficiency
• Remote team members are required to reside and work within the United States
