This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Assume responsibility for leading the capture process for extensive, multi-year programs with the U.S. Army.
• Identify, develop, and sustain strong relationships with all stakeholders involved in assigned programs, including Program Offices (PEOs/PMs), prime contractors, OEM partners, and vital end-user groups.
• Actively collaborate with customers and partners to shape technical requirements for long-term initiatives, promoting Silvus's MN-MIMO technology as an essential element.
• Oversee the complete lifecycle of long-term pursuits, ranging from initial identification and qualification (horizon scanning) to proposal submission and award.
• Work closely with the Market Development Executive (MDE) to ensure alignment of overarching strategy and with Account Sales to facilitate a seamless transition of secured programs for immediate execution.
• Keep abreast of market dynamics, competitor activities, and funding priorities pertinent to assigned programs to guide the capture strategy.
• Travel Requirement – Up to 50% of the time is necessary to foster strong customer engagement and further company objectives and profitability.
• Execute other related duties representative of the above.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; or a High School Diploma/GED combined with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• At least 5+ years of experience in defense sales or business development, particularly focused on the U.S. Army.
• Demonstrated success in capturing complex, long-cycle Department of Defense programs (Programs of Record).
• Proven experience in cultivating relationships within U.S. Army Acquisition offices and with pertinent prime contractors.
• Experience overseeing all aspects of business capture (whitepapers, proposals, RFI/RFP responses, teaming, strategic positioning).
• Practical knowledge of product development, technology transition, and marketing/product strategy for U.S. military applications.
• Expertise in conducting and directing competitive product analysis using market research methods and a robust technical comprehension of service/agency needs and requirements.
• Excellent persuasive communication and executive briefing abilities.
• Extensive familiarity with the U.S. Army's organizational structure, acquisition processes, and capability development lifecycle.
• Good understanding of U.S. Department of Defense funding and procurement cycles.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the capability to obtain one within 15 months of employment.
