Director of Budget, Financial Reporting, Analysis

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee consolidated-level financial reporting and analysis for UAMS.

• Prepare, analyze, and review essential financial reports for UAMS, the University System, and the State of Arkansas leadership.

• Conduct advanced analyses, reconciliations, research, and make entries in the accounting system.

• Act as the UAMS liaison with the State of Arkansas concerning finance and accounting issues.

• Manage necessary reporting, State revenue draws, and collaboration with the State accounting system and personnel.

• Direct budget and financial planning initiatives, including campus budget planning and resource allocation.

• Oversee and report on capital budgeting, cash management and forecasting, financial forecasting, and external budget reporting.

• Lead the formulation of budget and financial planning policies, procedures, and processes.

• Recruit, supervise, and evaluate the financial reporting, planning, and analysis team.

• Work collaboratively with internal, external, and legislative auditors.

• Carry out additional tasks as requested by UAMS senior leadership.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related discipline.

• At least six (6) years of experience in financial reporting and general ledger reporting.

• A minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory or leadership role.

• Familiarity with the Arkansas Administrative Statewide Information System (AASIS).

• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other software applications.

• Adaptability and capability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

• Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States starting from the first day of employment.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment screening.
