This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Ensure the quality and validity of AP Computer Science Principles examinations, course materials, and professional development resources.
• Oversee the creation, revision, management, and scoring material development for assessments.
• Appropriately utilize generative AI for authoring and reviewing assessment content.
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts, such as college professors and secondary school educators, for training purposes.
• Act as a liaison between academic professionals and psychometricians.
• Create formative assessment resources and materials for teachers.
• Serve as the main contact for committees and communities of subject-matter experts.
• Direct the development of AP Computer Science Principles assessment forms in accordance with curricula and testing specifications.
• Organize Test Development Committee meetings and oversee committee contributors and reviewers.
• Recruit educators for development committees and opportunities within the AP Program.
• Manage annual AP Reading scoring events and produce associated publications.
• Monitor the validity, security, reliability, fairness, quality, and consistency of exams.
• Collaborate on establishing fair, reliable, and valid cut scores.
• Refine the AP Computer Science Principles Course Framework and associated learning outcomes.
• Assist in the development and market testing of new AP Computer Science Principles products.
• Engage with educators to enhance teacher satisfaction.
• Work in partnership with AP Professional Learning and Higher Education teams.
• Increase awareness of AP Computer Science Principles courses and exams within colleges and universities.
• Participate in AP Faculty Colloquia and Visiting and Virtual Fellows Programs.
• A Master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field is required.
• Familiarity with current trends in Computer Science is essential.
• Expertise in Computer Science Principles is necessary.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in standardized assessment development or similar roles.
• Experience with digital assessment and teaching is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
• Solid technical skills are required.
• A customer-focused approach is essential.
• Excellent organizational and planning abilities are needed.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining meticulous attention to detail, including proofreading, is necessary.
• Proven ability to implement processes and procedures efficiently.
• Experience in managing project plans and schedules and maintaining documentation is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit are essential.
• Ability to work effectively at all organizational levels and provide constructive feedback is important.
• Willingness to travel 6–8 times annually, plus up to two additional weeks for AP Reading.
• Must be eligible and authorized to work in the United States.
