This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Act as a vital business partner and play a significant role in the development of business strategies and essential decisions by aligning the workforce with operational goals.
• Utilize understanding of key business drivers in strategic planning, decision-making, and execution.
• Foster best practices and collaboration across various departments while implementing HR solutions.
• Lead cross-functional teams to address complex challenges and achieve ambitious objectives.
• Cultivate a culture that swiftly resolves conflicts and tackles underlying issues.
• Assess the organizational vision, mission, structures, processes, and personnel.
• Investigate, identify, and tackle issues related to organizational effectiveness.
• Carry out assessments to clarify the current state of the organization.
• Design, propose, and facilitate the implementation of solutions that align with Petco's overall direction.
• Communicate in a professional and effective manner with distribution center associates and professional contacts.
• Independently prioritize and manage multiple tasks within set deadlines.
• Execute additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the manager based on organizational needs.
• A Bachelor’s Degree and ten years of progressively responsible related experience are required, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
• HR certification (PHR or SPHR) is preferred.
• Proven strategic thought leadership and a track record of executing successful programs within complex organizations.
• Demonstrated success as an effective member of a cross-functional senior management team with measurable business impact.
• Advanced ability to adapt to new opportunities, demands, and challenges by mobilizing and engaging the organization.
• In-depth knowledge of human resource functions and processes, organizational culture, design, development, effectiveness, business objectives, and strategies.
• Capability to research information and analyze data to derive valid conclusions, recommendations, and action plans.
• Strong conceptual and process thinking abilities, including an understanding of complex relationships and interdependencies.
• Ability to translate concepts into action and achieve desired outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in conducting comprehensive quantitative and qualitative needs analyses, organization design and development initiatives, change model implementation, and organization structure development.
• Proficient in preparing comprehensive reports and conveying ideas clearly both orally and in writing.
• Sound judgment and discretion in maintaining working relationships within a collaborative, matrixed environment.
• Proven success in leading, influencing, and persuading diverse groups across management and employee levels.
• Advanced conflict resolution skills.
• Experience in coaching senior and executive management.
• Exceptional project management skills, including leading projects from planning through to completion.
• Strong leadership, communication, consultative, partnership, facilitation, team-building, consulting, presentation, and training-facilitation skills.
