Director, Hardware Portfolio Management

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the long-term strategy for Kardex’s hardware product line.

• Make portfolio decisions based on market trends, customer requirements, business impacts, and financial outcomes.

• Regularly assess and enhance the product portfolio.

• Prioritize funding and allocate resources among competing opportunities to maximize portfolio value and ROI.

• Work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Operations to convert market insights into portfolio strategies.

• Oversee portfolio simplification, lifecycle management, modularization, and initiatives aimed at reducing complexity.

• Question existing processes and promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.

• Guide, mentor, and grow a team of Product Managers.

• Make strategic decisions regarding the portfolio, balancing growth, profitability, technological advancements, and customer value.

• Ensure that the hardware portfolio aligns with future market needs and supports long-term strategic goals.

• Organize and execute a Customer Innovation Day with selected clients.

• Identify and engage relevant customers and stakeholders.

• Outline the event structure and agenda.

• Lead the team, assign tasks, and distribute responsibilities.

• Define success factors, metrics, and evaluation criteria for the event.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong business acumen and commercial insight with a robust understanding of economics, portfolio management, and investment strategies.

• An entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of driving growth, competitiveness, and overall business performance.

• Background in Business Development, Management Consulting, startup environments, or entrepreneurial positions is highly advantageous.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Sales and Marketing teams to successfully launch products in the market.

• Highly analytical and comfortable making decisions based on financial and commercial data.

• Strong technical interest and affinity for hardware products, though not necessarily an engineering expert.

• Capacity to foster innovation, challenge the norm, and motivate teams to think creatively.

• Leadership experience is beneficial, but exceptional candidates with strong business qualifications will also be considered.

• A completed case study is required with the application.

• Presentation in PDF format, limited to 4 slides.
