Director, Finance – Profitable Growth Strategy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Lead a newly established Independent Review function focused on ensuring proposal offerings achieve optimal long-term financial outcomes.

• Conduct Independent Cost Estimate reviews to assess financial uncertainty during the bidding process and execution confidence.

• Collaborate with functional leadership to establish estimating expectations and create a professional estimating framework.

• Develop and maintain a Corporate Independent Cost Estimate Review calendar.

• Prepare outputs from Independent Cost Estimates to facilitate decision-making during Segment and Corporate proposal reviews.

• Provide guidance on functional estimating initiatives and establish estimating factors for bid evaluations.

• Work alongside Program Excellence to coordinate joint Non-Advocate Reviews, Baseline Reviews, and Program Assessment Reviews.

• Cultivate the Independent Review discipline within the finance division and build and enhance a review team.

• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with at least 15 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of related experience, or, in the absence of a degree, a minimum of 19 years of related experience.

• A minimum of 12 years of experience within a defense contracting environment, specifically in proposals and financial roles.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Excellent analytical abilities.

• Proficient in modeling and scenario analysis.

• Capable of effectively collaborating across multiple functions.

• Able to meet deadlines and manage tasks within tight timelines.
