Director, Data Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee client engagements that blend data science, AI, and strategic initiatives.

• Take ownership of projects from initial scoping to final delivery.

• Work collaboratively with clients and cross-functional teams to address intricate marketing challenges.

• Utilize advanced analytics, modeling, statistical methods, measurement, and experimental techniques.

• Manage, mentor, and develop analysts and data science professionals.

• Provide guidance to quantitative survey researchers.

• Cultivate an environment of innovation, teamwork, and ongoing education.

• Guarantee the delivery of top-notch work.

• Propose new projects and enhance client relationships.

• Monitor trends in marketing analytics and introduce novel methodologies, tools, and techniques.

• Counsel clients and team members on experimentation, machine learning, and advanced data science practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in quantitative research, marketing, or consulting.

• At least 2 years of experience in managing teams and personnel.

• Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation abilities.

• Capability to narrate and present data insights to engineers and C-suite executives.

• High-level proficiency in Python programming.

• Familiarity with Git and SQL.

• Insight into data pipelines and the ability to connect technical execution with strategic business objectives.

• Expertise in implementing and elucidating machine learning models, including linear and XGBoost regressions.

• Strong grasp of statistics and probability as applied to experimentation and marketing challenges.

• Proficient in analyzing both large datasets and smaller survey datasets.

• Up-to-date knowledge of advancements in data science and AI, with the capacity to apply them effectively.

• Skilled in data engineering tasks and tools.

• Experience in mid- to upper-funnel marketing strategies, causal inference, generative AI applications, or synthetic data is a plus.
