Data Scientist 5 – Ads Experimentation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Design and implement robust experimental frameworks.

• Oversee the shift from manual analysis to automated, scalable solutions that are integrated with the Netflix Experimentation Platform.

• Establish best practices for reliable decision-making at scale.

• Enhance and execute biddable media models and auctions with dynamic pricing.

• Formulate strategies to optimize marketplace mechanics, balancing supply, demand, and user experience.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to address cold-start measurement challenges.

• Expand the ad platform across various international markets.

• Serve as a senior consultant to Product, Strategy, and Engineering teams.

• Discover research opportunities, quantify potential business impacts, and advocate for resource allocation.

• Build partnerships with product, engineering, operations, design, and consumer research stakeholders.

• Provide comprehensive solutions utilizing causal inference, machine learning, and data exploration.

• Uphold high standards for documentation and reproducibility.

⛳️ Requirements

• MS or PhD in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Mathematics) or comparable practical experience.

• Extensive experience with auction dynamics, yield management, or supply-demand matching in a marketplace context.

• Expertise in causal inference and experimental design, particularly in addressing interference and network effects within marketplace settings.

• Advanced proficiency in Python or R.

• Strong SQL skills.

• Capability to translate complex statistical findings into actionable business narratives for stakeholders at every level.
