This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the Contracts department and manage the complete life cycle of customer, site, and vendor study-level contracts, including associated budgets and Investigator grants.
• Establish, oversee, and consistently enhance the processes for contract development, negotiation, and execution.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Operations, Finance, and Legal teams on contracting and budgeting initiatives.
• Act as the main point of contact and escalation for inquiries related to contracting and budgeting.
• Prioritize contracting and budgeting workflows based on study initiation timelines and revenue objectives.
• Lead the negotiation and execution of contracts, change orders, amendments, and related budgets.
• Work with Operations and Finance to achieve financial goals and ensure cash neutrality.
• Review financial terms in master-level agreements alongside the Legal team.
• Authorize and sign contracts and budget documents within the range of delegated authority.
• Create and maintain templates for contracts and budgets.
• Keep contract and revenue data updated in Salesforce, SharePoint, and other authorized systems.
• Develop metrics and dashboards to provide executive-level visibility into contract and budgeting performance.
• Assist with third-party vendor management and supervise vendor contracts.
• Recruit, develop, train, and lead the Contracts team.
• Streamline and unify legacy processes to enhance contracting across various business lines.
• Expertise in contract negotiation, especially regarding financial terms and cash neutrality.
• Exceptional organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with clarity and conciseness.
• Keen attention to detail and financial accuracy.
• Capability to collaborate effectively across diverse functional groups and employee levels.
• Proven ability to work independently while also contributing to collaborative quality solutions.
• Proactive and prompt follow-up skills.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and nurture stakeholder relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of relevant experience in contract management within the clinical research sector, including the preparation of clinical trial contracts and budgets.
• At least 5 years of direct managerial experience.
• Strong negotiation and drafting capabilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with Salesforce and SharePoint.
• Advanced skills in Excel.
• Demonstrated capability to develop clinical trial budgets, including Investigator Grants.
• Ability to work effectively in a home-office setting and fulfill job responsibilities, including extended use of a computer.
• Willingness to travel approximately 5% as necessary.
• Fully remote work in a home-office environment.
