Director, Business and Process Optimization – Pharmacovigilance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Provides leadership and strategic guidance for the business operation or corporate function.

• Engages with senior leadership to create and approve strategic business plans.

• Manages cross-functional activities, projects, and initiatives to deliver strategic insights, analyses, and recommendations.

• Promotes ongoing process enhancement and evaluates compliance with cross-functional processes, systems, applications, training, and communication.

• Acts as the business lead for large, complex, cross-functional process improvement projects.

• Collaborates with stakeholders, peers, and leaders on strategy, execution, and communication planning.

• Oversees administrative aspects of staffing, budgeting, scheduling, and long-term planning.

• Provides strategic guidance to the team through direct line management.

• Manages recruitment, onboarding, talent development, and retention efforts.

• Offers coaching, feedback, performance evaluations, development plans, and career guidance.

• Develops and executes business plans and forecasting activities.

• Supports and promotes process and systems optimization initiatives.

• Oversees responses for client or internal process audits and CAPAs.

• Fosters a culture of continuous improvement.

• Functions as an internal transformation consultant for M&A integration efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in life sciences, pharmacy, nursing, or a related healthcare field, or experience in pharmacovigilance.

• Significant pharmacovigilance experience with a focus on process improvement, safety applications, and systems, along with demonstrated line management expertise.

• Extensive leadership experience in pharmacovigilance within a service provider context.

• Proven experience in optimizing processes and overseeing implementations.

• Exceptional leadership and management capabilities.

• Advanced abilities in process development and improvement, particularly regarding clinical and post-marketing pharmacovigilance.

• Excellent project management capabilities.

• Certification in process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma is advantageous.

• Exceptional attention to detail, investigative, and analytical skills.

• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong computer skills, including a comprehensive understanding of clinical management and pharmacovigilance technologies and systems.

• Expert knowledge of the practices, processes, and regulatory requirements of clinical trials.

• Superior oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in English.

• Ability to lead and foster teamwork in a multidisciplinary and/or multicultural team environment.

• Capable of driving innovation and developing new ideas related to process improvements.

• Exceptional organizational, judgment, analytical, decision-making, and interpersonal skills necessary for managing complex projects concurrently and adapting to rapidly changing priorities.
