Director, Benefits – HR Center of Expertise

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Formulate and implement a comprehensive global benefits strategy that aligns with business objectives and enhances employee experience.

β€’ Oversee the design, execution, and management of health, welfare, retirement, wellness, and leave initiatives across more than 30 countries.

β€’ Provide strategic guidance for leave of absence policies and procedures.

β€’ Develop governance frameworks and best practices for medical, family, disability, statutory, and other protected leaves.

β€’ Collaborate with regional HR teams, brokers, consultants, and benefit providers.

β€’ Cultivate relationships with global benefit vendors and oversee their performance, service delivery, contract negotiations, and ongoing improvements.

β€’ Analyze market trends and benchmark programs accordingly.

β€’ Propose solutions that improve employee experience while effectively managing costs and risks.

β€’ Ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations in all operating countries.

β€’ Lead the annual renewal process, including strategy formulation, vendor assessments, and benefit offering optimization.

β€’ Initiate process enhancements, technological advancements, and automation prospects.

β€’ Produce executive reports, analytics, and insights to support data-driven decision-making and assess program effectiveness.

β€’ Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Progressive leadership experience in global benefits within a multinational organization.

β€’ Demonstrated expertise in designing and managing benefits programs across various countries.

β€’ Knowledge of global market practices and local statutory requirements.

β€’ Proven success in managing global benefit vendors, brokers, and consulting partners.

β€’ Strong understanding of U.S. employee benefits.

β€’ Experience in overseeing international benefits initiatives.

β€’ Ability to develop benefit strategies that balance employee experience, market competitiveness, compliance, and financial management.

β€’ Strong analytical abilities to interpret data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.

β€’ Established capability to influence senior leaders and foster trusted partnerships throughout the organization.

β€’ Experience in leading organizational change, process enhancements, and technology initiatives.

β€’ Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.

β€’ Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, global environment.

β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field.

β€’ An advanced degree or professional certifications are advantageous.
