This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the operational performance, reliability, and financial success of utility-scale Energy Storage Systems.
• Ensure that assets function efficiently, achieve performance and compliance objectives, and deliver anticipated lifecycle returns.
• Act as the main point of contact among internal stakeholders, O&M providers, QSEs, off-takers, and utility partners.
• Guarantee adherence to ERCOT, NERC, and local regulatory standards.
• Manage NERC registration and compliance service contracts along with periodic ERCOT assessments.
• Maintain comprehensive and auditable records of operational incidents, tests, and maintenance activities.
• Generate asset reports for internal stakeholders, investors, and regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate with distribution service providers, ERCOT, QSEs, and off-take partners to confirm revenues and costs.
• Review invoices and revenue/cost statements to ensure timely payments.
• Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and revenue modeling activities.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as BESS testing, with O&M providers.
• Oversee service agreements, warranty commitments, and long-term service strategies.
• Facilitate project transitions from construction to operations, ensuring asset preparedness.
• Serve as the primary contact for inquiries and issues related to assets.
• Monitor BESS performance using EMS/SCADA systems.
• Detect underperformance or anomalies and coordinate resolutions with field and OEM teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy, Business, or a related discipline.
• 9+ years of experience in asset management, operations, or performance monitoring within the energy sector; experience with BESS or renewables is preferred.
• Over 3 years of experience overseeing NERC Bulk Electric System (BES) compliance activities.
• Strong comprehension of the financial and commercial components of energy storage initiatives.
• Expertise in data analysis, financial modeling, and performance reporting.
• Working knowledge of SCADA and EMS systems.
• Familiarity with ISO markets such as ERCOT, CAISO, and PJM, along with revenue strategies.
• Exceptional data analysis, reporting, and communication capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with asset management platforms.
• Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally, up to 25% of the time.
• Comfortable in fast-paced, rapidly growing environments.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check.
