
Director, Ambassador & Lifecycle Programs

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Directly oversee and mentor managers responsible for the Ambassador Programs and Lifecycle Sales initiatives.
• Set departmental objectives, priorities, performance expectations, annual plans, budgets, deliverables, and performance metrics.
• Formulate and implement strategies and long-term plans for ambassador engagement and alumni lifecycle conversion.
• Align ambassador programming, alumni engagement, lifecycle communications, and enrollment goals.
• Develop and expand programs that support the student journey from high school involvement to college study abroad enrollment.
• Assess and test new engagement models, outreach strategies, and customer experiences.
• Provide strategic leadership over the alumni lifecycle strategy and enrollment objectives.
• Track lifecycle funnel performance, including engagement, lead generation, applications, and enrollment results.
• Set conversion targets and KPIs linked to enrollment growth and participant retention.
• Manage the recruitment, engagement, training, performance management, and evaluation of ambassador programs.
• Create KPI and reporting frameworks that encompass engagement, referrals, conversion, enrollment, and revenue results.
• Develop dashboards, perform performance assessments, evaluate ROI, and implement enhancements.
• Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration with Marketing, Enrollment, Operations, Institutional Relations, and College Study Abroad Leadership.
• Provide strategic updates, recommendations, performance reports, and resource requirements to the Executive Director and senior leadership.
• Contribute to planning, budgeting, forecasting, and organizational strategy initiatives.
• Represent CIEE at conferences, institutional partner meetings, and external events.
• A bachelor’s degree or international equivalent is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 5–8+ years of experience in program management, enrollment management, marketing, sales, alumni engagement, customer success, or higher education outreach.
• 2–3+ years of experience in leading and developing individuals and teams.
• Proven track record of using data and analytics to inform business decisions and achieve measurable outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to craft strategy while effectively managing operational execution.
• Outstanding project management, organizational, and leadership capabilities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including communication at the executive level.
• Experience working collaboratively across multiple departments within a complex organization.
• Familiarity with CRM, marketing automation, and project management tools such as Salesforce, Marketo, Asana, and similar platforms.
• Knowledge of study abroad, higher education, student recruitment, alumni relations, or enrollment management is preferred.
