This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead the planning, execution, and ongoing enhancement of software engineering development initiatives.
• Guarantee the steady delivery of high-quality, secure, and compliant systems.
• Propel enhancements in project and product delivery timelines, team efficiency, defect reduction, and overall business outcomes.
• Establish policies and promote adherence to standards, best practices, modern technologies, and tools for cloud and edge/OT software systems.
• Lead change management efforts while consistently monitoring and mitigating technical debt.
• Incorporate security and privacy considerations into development processes.
• Identify and manage resources throughout all phases of software development projects.
• Ensure that technical, financial, quality, performance, scalability, and documentation goals are achieved.
• Oversee team performance through goal-setting, structured feedback, coaching, and mentorship.
• Manage resource planning, talent acquisition, recruitment, and personnel management for software engineering teams.
• Plan and oversee onshore and offshore resource processes and continuous improvements.
• Cultivate and maintain stakeholder relationships while acting as the primary engagement contact.
• Translate stakeholder communication and engagement strategies into actionable activities and deliverables.
• Capture and share technical and business insights.
• Identify and initiate activities aimed at enhancing organizational capabilities.
• Lead change initiatives, including communication and execution.
• Supervise multiple software development engineers, including those directly reporting to you.
• Travel to vendor, user, and customer sites domestically, with occasional international trips.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, STEM, or equivalent experience.
• 8–10+ years of experience in the software engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience with Industrial IoT, distributed, and/or event-driven systems.
• 5+ years of experience with major cloud hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• 2–3+ years of experience in supervising, directing, leading, or managing direct reports.
• 1+ year of experience managing a distributed/remote and international team.
• Familiarity with sustainable agentic development practices and related change management.
• Experience with modern application containerization and automated cloud deployment tools and templates.
• Proven ability to integrate open-source technologies in a commercial setting.
• Demonstrated success in delivering production-quality software in iterative environments.
• Experience with value-driven development, discovery-oriented practices, and hypothesis-based execution.
• Background in mentoring and developing engineers, focusing on growth, performance, and autonomy.
• Experience in supporting or building high-throughput teams utilizing agentic development, CI/CD, trunk-based development, and automated testing.
• Collaborative experience in product-led environments with product, design, and business stakeholders.
• Proven ability to foster psychological safety, team accountability, autonomy, and continuous improvement.
• Experience with data management (SQL, NoSQL, Big Data), analytics, business intelligence, and/or data science technologies.
• Familiarity with Portfolio and Project Management tools.
• Capability to correctly wear and utilize required PPE when visiting a manufacturing facility.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
• Additional annual incentive plan exceeding 10% of salary.
