This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia, +3 more countries.
β’ Take ownership and prioritize product initiatives for the digital Marketplace.
β’ Manage and prioritize the product backlog of the Marketplace based on business goals, customer requirements, technical dependencies, and platform priorities.
β’ Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities, challenges, requirements, and desired outcomes.
β’ Convert business and user needs into features, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and relevant documentation.
β’ Facilitate backlog refinement and work closely with engineering and QA during sprint planning, development, testing, and release phases.
β’ Provide product decisions and clarify requirements for development teams.
β’ Acquire knowledge of Marketplace functionality, business rules, system interactions, integrations, and dependencies.
β’ Enhance experiences for eye care practices, patients, vendors, and internal users.
β’ Establish requirements for vendor catalog ingestion, product data management, product availability, and product selection at the practice level.
β’ Set requirements for wholesale costs, retail pricing, margins, discounts, promotions, and pricing strategies.
β’ Oversee requirements across product discovery, patient accounts, shopping carts, checkout processes, payment systems, orders, fulfillment, returns, and customer communications.
β’ Specify requirements for vendor and external-system integrations, such as APIs, data exchanges, synchronization, error handling, and expected behaviors.
β’ Collaborate with UX/UI professionals to develop intuitive user experiences.
β’ Assess functionality against customer value, business priorities, technical complexity, dependencies, and platform capabilities.
β’ Identify edge cases and downstream impacts across users, workflows, integrations, and business rules.
β’ Coordinate requirements and dependencies across Marketplace functionality, engineering teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
β’ Engage in testing and validation to ensure that functionality aligns with requirements and business objectives.
β’ Utilize stakeholder feedback, customer behavior, product analytics, and operational needs to pinpoint platform enhancements.
β’ Communicate priorities, decisions, requirements, risks, and dependencies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, Business Analysis, or a similar position directly involving software development teams.
β’ Significant responsibility for defining and delivering software functionalities.
β’ Proven experience in owning and prioritizing software product backlogs.
β’ Capability to translate business needs into development-ready requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflows.
β’ Experience working closely with software engineering, QA, and UX/UI teams.
β’ Strong grasp of Agile software development methodologies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, development, testing, and release processes.
β’ Experience with e-commerce, marketplace, SaaS, or other transaction-oriented digital platforms.
β’ Technical knowledge and functional understanding of APIs, integrations, data flows, system dependencies, and software architecture.
β’ Experience working with third-party integrations or external technology partners.
β’ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization abilities.
β’ Ability to identify edge cases, dependencies, and downstream effects.
β’ Capacity to make decisions, resolve ambiguities, and keep development teams progressing.
β’ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
β’ Ability to collaborate effectively with U.S.-based stakeholders.
β’ Capability to work independently and as part of a distributed international team.
β’ Comfortable operating in an international, remote setting while ensuring reasonable working-hour overlap across different time zones.
β’ Willingness to adjust work schedule for team ceremonies, stakeholder discussions, planning sessions, and collaborative activities with U.S.-based stakeholders.
β’ Must possess the ability to contract legally through an appropriate individual or business entity in your country of residence.
β’ Must be eligible to receive payment for services from a U.S.-based company.
