This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Administer ionizing radiation for purposes related to diagnostics, therapy, or research.
• Conduct a comprehensive range of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Gather and assess data essential for diagnosis as requested by and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner.
• Execute or assist licensed practitioners in performing radiographic, fluoroscopic, specialized radiologic, and noninterpretive fluoroscopic procedures independently.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications and radiation exposure in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
• Verify orders, identify and prepare patients, corroborate clinical histories, and confidentially document information.
• Implement imaging protocols and enhance technical factors while prioritizing patient safety and care in accordance with ALARA principles.
• Review images for proper positioning and technical quality; confirm archival storage, data transfer, and post-processing as needed.
• Provide education and supervision to students and other healthcare professionals.
• Carry out procedures outside the Radiology Department, including in operating rooms, Endoscopy, and ICU settings.
• Fulfill job-specific responsibilities and adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (Required).
• Bachelor's Degree in a Related Field of Study (Preferred).
• Basic Life Support Certification.
• Radiography (R) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• New graduates are required to obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months of their hire date.
• Applicants hired after March 10, 2024, must fulfill the necessary steps to advance to level 2 within 24 months.
• A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience (Preferred).
• Capability to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Understanding of ionizing radiation administration, radiation safety, ALARA principles, medications, vascular access, imaging protocols, image evaluation, archival storage, and data transfer.
• Ability to comply with federal and state laws, regulations, and institutional policies.
• Willingness to work during the day for 40 scheduled hours per week.
• Work authorization in the United States is assumed based on the work shift/location context.
• $30,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
• An additional $6/hour premium on top of the base pay rate.
