Senior/Staff Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and enhance the cloud platform, encompassing AWS, Kubernetes, networking, Terraform, CI/CD, and observability.

• Design engineering workflows that span from local development setups to preview environments and final deployments.

• Accelerate the safe engineering path.

• Manage incidents with composure, pinpoint root causes, and ensure that solutions are robust.

• Transform repetitive manual tasks into automated processes and self-service tools.

• Assist engineers in safely operating AI agents within suitable sandboxes and guardrails.

• Construct and maintain the infrastructure that supports Duna’s identity product, focusing on reliability, security, and auditability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience as a platform, DevOps, site reliability, infrastructure, or cloud engineer.

• Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes, networking, and infrastructure as code in live production environments.

• Proven experience in enhancing developer experience is highly desirable.

• An interest in security or observability is a valuable addition.

• Background in a startup or scale-up environment, with a track record of managing issues from inception to resolution.

• Ability to make informed decisions, articulate them clearly, and assertively provide feedback when necessary.

• A curious mindset towards various clouds and tools, with a quick learning ability.

• Experience in regulated fields such as fintech, payments, or identity is a plus.

• Openness to work with or learn technologies including AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Postgres, RabbitMQ, Node.js, TypeScript, and event sourcing.

• Must currently reside in Europe.
