This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the design and engineering of a DevOps Platform tailored for software development, systems engineering, integration, and testing within a diverse environment.
• Create GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Design, construct, and sustain modular, reusable Infrastructure as Code configurations utilizing Terraform across various cloud platforms.
• Automate configuration processes within Kubernetes.
• Provide support for cloud networking and routing related to DNS, TLS, and ingress/egress.
• Maintain and enhance base images in cloud environments.
• Develop and document risk assessment outcomes, recommendations, corrective measures, and mitigation strategies.
• Conduct both automated and manual validation of Information Assurance Controls and Validation Procedures, adhering to DoD Guidelines, CNSSI 1253, and/or NIST 800 publications.
• Perform validation, troubleshooting, and documentation for DevSecOps engineering projects.
• Document processes and services for cloud application development teams.
• Engage in Agile processes, formulate tasks, articulate technical solutions, and test deployed systems.
• Investigate issues identified during quality reviews and create solutions.
• Utilize scripting and automation to manage infrastructure effectively.
• Contribute insights to technical assessments regarding system costs, efficiency, and security posture.
• Develop testing procedures for system infrastructure, including programming and documentation.
• Identify opportunities for enhancing system and product offerings.
• Collaborate with technical writers to produce customer-relevant documentation.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure adherence to policies, quality objectives, and timely delivery.
• Six (6) years of experience, including three years in specified systems/software lifecycle or federal IT areas; experience may overlap.
• Willingness to travel to PI Planning Events three times a year.
• Ability to travel on an ad hoc basis to technical exchange meetings, primarily in Norfolk, VA; San Diego, CA; and Charleston, SC.
• US Citizenship is required.
• An active Top Secret DoD security clearance is mandatory.
• DoD 8570-compliant certifications are required for privileged access to MIP.
• A valid CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (minimum DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II) is required, or the ability to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe.
• High School diploma or GED is necessary.
• Technical training in Information Technology or Software Application Development is essential.
• A minimum of 2+ years of related IT experience, including DevOps/DevSecOps Engineering, CI/CD, Build & Release, SRE, Operations Engineering, Systems Integration Engineering, and/or Cloud Administration.
• Previous experience in evaluating or assessing systems within Government Cloud environments using DevSecOps principles with Continuous Security.
• A strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code, preferably with hands-on experience in Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Experience with Docker, Rancher, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Fargate, or other container orchestration platforms.
• Proven experience in infrastructure automation and DevOps integration.
• Experience in developing and managing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery environments.
