DevSecOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS/EKS.

• Lead the onboarding and migration of applications to standardized cloud patterns and platform services.

• Develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines along with automated deployment processes utilizing GitHub.

• Implement and oversee Infrastructure as Code, with a particular focus on Terraform.

• Facilitate the transition from traditional credential-based authentication to AWS IAM/IRSA and secure identity management methodologies.

• Manage and enhance Kubernetes-based environments to ensure reliability, security, and scalability.

• Advocate for observability and SRE practices, which include monitoring, logging, and performance enhancements.

• Encourage automation throughout the infrastructure and application lifecycle management.

• Uphold a documentation-first approach for platform processes, configurations, and standards.

• Contribute to the ownership and governance of the service catalog.

• Collaborate with Platform Engineering, Security, and Product teams.

• Identify opportunities to enhance platform efficiency, resilience, security, and developer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in a DevSecOps / DevOps Engineer role.

• Strong practical experience with AWS / Amazon Web Services.

• Advanced understanding of Kubernetes, ideally including EKS.

• Significant experience with GitHub and GitHub-based development and CI/CD workflows.

• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.

• Solid experience with Docker and containerized environments.

• Strong knowledge of Linux environments.

• Experience in cloud automation and infrastructure automation.

• Familiarity with authentication and IAM, particularly within AWS settings.

• Strong understanding of Amazon CloudWatch and cloud monitoring practices.

• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.

• A robust security mindset and a passion for building reliable, scalable, and well-governed cloud platforms.

• Experience with Python scripting or automation is a plus.

• Familiarity with Java applications or ecosystems is a plus.

• Experience with Dynatrace or other observability platforms is a plus.

• Familiarity with AWS IAM Roles for Service Accounts (IRSA) is a plus.

• Knowledge of SRE principles and practices is a plus.

• Previous experience in large-scale enterprise or financial services environments is a plus.
