DevSecOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide expert advice to internal teams regarding software security and architectural best practices for Paylocity’s Information Systems.

• Create and maintain internal tools for application security.

• Incorporate security measures into the build and deployment processes.

• Suggest and implement enhancements to the security infrastructure architecture.

• Offer expert insights and recommendations on strategic and tactical security architecture topics through risk advisory services.

• Assist developers in fixing vulnerabilities with detailed, line-by-line guidance.

• Deliver training and education to developers on software security best practices in cloud environments.

• Conduct static and dynamic analyses of web and mobile applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in InfoSec, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• At least 3 years of experience in full-stack web development.

• Proficiency in developing and working with Web APIs.

• Experience in scaling secure-by-design security solutions for developers.

• Familiarity with interpreting results from Static Code Scanning tools and third-party dependency scanning tools.

• In-depth knowledge of Security Token Services, Federated Identity Providers, SAML 2.0, claims-based security, and other SSO technologies.

• Experience in remediating security vulnerabilities beyond the OWASP Top 10.

• Knowledge in assessing the security of native and hybrid mobile applications beyond automated tools.

• Strong experience in Python development.

• Experience in .NET development is a plus.

• Working knowledge of container-based application infrastructure using Docker is a plus.

• Familiarity with Payroll, HR, Time & Labor Management, and Online Benefits Enrollment applications is a plus.

• Experience with Privileged Access Management and/or Secrets Management is a plus.

• Must be available five days a week during designated work hours.

• Ability to sit for extended periods, typically 7–8 hours a day.

• Capability to operate computer and phone systems, type, and use multiple software programs simultaneously.
