DevSecOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee and uphold the performance of servers

• Administer internal monitoring systems

• Enhance and sustain the IT infrastructure

• Handle infrastructure as code utilizing tools such as Terraform and Ansible

• Integrate and continually improve security checks in CI/CD pipelines by adopting a shift-left approach

• Carry out regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing

• Manage secrets and access credentials effectively

• Ensure adherence to security standards and regulatory frameworks, including ISO 27001 and GDPR

• Conduct threat modeling and evaluate security risks at early stages

• Document processes and infrastructure thoroughly

• Stay updated on current trends and implement new tools and best practices

• Provide guidance to colleagues on security-related issues

• Take independent ownership of critical areas within the IT infrastructure

• Establish security standards and best practices for the team

• Independently automate various processes

• Act as the primary point of contact for security-related inquiries

• Actively contribute to the development of the DevSecOps culture

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed vocational training or a degree in IT (e.g., computer science or business informatics) or equivalent practical experience

• Strong expertise in Linux server administration

• Familiarity with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, including secure operation practices

• Proficient in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible

• Experienced with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP

• Knowledgeable in monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack

• Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, and fundamental security concepts
