DevSecOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, incorporating security controls throughout the development lifecycle.

• Automate build, testing, deployment, and security validation processes.

• Integrate security practices from the early stages of the SDLC.

• Participate in the identification, analysis, and remediation of vulnerabilities.

• Implement and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

• Securely manage secrets, configurations, and access controls.

• Integrate code analysis, dependencies, configurations, and images into automated pipelines.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Security teams to enhance DevSecOps practices.

• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives related to automation, security, reliability, and operational efficiency.

• Document processes, standards, and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Professional experience in Software Development, DevOps, Cloud, Infrastructure, or Operations.

• Previous hands-on background in software development or operations.

• Experience working with CI/CD and pipeline automation.

• Practical knowledge of DevSecOps principles and practices.

• Experience with cloud computing services.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.

• Proficiency with Git and modern version control processes.

• Understanding of security practices applied throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Familiarity with vulnerability management and security analysis tools.

• Knowledge of secure secrets and configuration management.

• Ability to work collaboratively with development, operations, and security teams.

• Desirable: Experience with AWS.

• Desirable: Experience with Terraform.

• Desirable: Experience integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines.

• Desirable: Knowledge of SAST, dependency analysis, and image or container scanning.

• Desirable: Experience with cloud-native architectures and microservices.

• Desirable: Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.

• Desirable: Experience working with high-availability platforms and large-scale production environments.
