DevSecOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Oversee, enhance, and automate CI/CD pipelines along with associated processes.

• Manage and administer CI/CD platforms and their supporting infrastructure.

• Deploy and supervise containerized applications and microservices on Kubernetes, both in on-premises and cloud settings.

• Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of deployed applications and services is maintained and improved.

• Implement and sustain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for both infrastructure and applications.

• Diagnose issues related to infrastructure, deployment, configuration, and applications.

• Incorporate security measures and automated security checks into CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.

• Assist in vulnerability remediation and secure configuration of infrastructure and application environments.

• Collaborate closely with development teams to enhance build, deployment, and release processes.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration wherever applicable.

• Work in tandem with development and infrastructure teams on DevSecOps-related initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, or a comparable role.

• Strong understanding of containerization technologies, especially Docker.

• Proficient in Kubernetes with experience in deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes clusters.

• Practical experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.

• Familiarity with managed Kubernetes services such as Amazon EKS and/or Azure AKS.

• Experience with Kubernetes package/configuration management tools like Helm and/or Kustomize.

• Sound knowledge of Linux systems and shell scripting.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and/or GitLab CI.

• Proficiency in Git and modern source-control workflows.

• Knowledge of GitOps and continuous delivery tools like Argo CD.

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.

• Understanding of DevSecOps practices, including vulnerability scanning, dependency scanning, secrets management, and secure CI/CD pipelines.

• Basic knowledge of networking concepts relevant to Kubernetes and web applications, such as DNS, TLS, ingress, and load balancing.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• Knowledge of German is a plus.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation/CDK/Terraform/OpenTofu is an advantage.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted software engineering tools, including an understanding of their appropriate and secure usage.
