DevOps Test Bench Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create and implement comprehensive test benches in AWS, GCP, and Azure utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Pulumi.

• Automate the setup, scaling, and dismantling of testing environments using tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

• Seamlessly integrate test benches with CI/CD pipelines including GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Jenkins.

• Monitor and evaluate system metrics, logs, and traces with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and CloudWatch.

• Enhance cloud resource cost and performance through methods like right-sizing, utilizing spot instances, and planning for reserved capacity.

• Establish and uphold security hardening policies, IAM roles, and compliance verification.

• Work collaboratively with SRE teams on SLAs, incident response strategies, and disaster recovery plans.

• Guide junior engineers and offer thought leadership on best practices in DevOps and SRE.

• Execute capacity planning, load testing, and resilience assessments.

• Document system architecture, protocols, and runbooks for effective knowledge transfer and compliance audits.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of practical cloud engineering experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure.

• Strong expertise in Linux system administration and shell scripting.

• Proficient in DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD orchestrators, and IaC frameworks.

• Experience in deploying monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions for distributed systems.

• Proven ability to diagnose complex failure scenarios in production settings.

• Strong grasp of SRE principles, including incident management, post-mortem evaluations, and reliability engineering.

• Exceptional communication abilities and a collaborative approach suitable for remote, cross-functional teams.

• Capability to balance quick delivery with considerations for security, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

• A proactive attitude towards continuous learning and a willingness to embrace new technologies.

• A demonstrated history of delivering dependable, automated testing infrastructure that mitigates release risks.
