DevOps Engineer, Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design and manage Google Cloud infrastructure for both new front-end and backend services

• Establish and oversee Cloudflare CDN, WAF, DNS, caching, and edge security

• Define and execute the security framework, incorporating IAM, secrets management, scanning, logging, and alerting

• Develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines for the Core Web and Core Platform teams

• Manage infrastructure through code using Terraform

• Enhance the security of the new authentication service

• Implement monitoring and incident response strategies

• Collaborate with the Core Web and Core Platform teams to support the transition of backend services in-house and a new headless front end

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure, with a focus on security

• In-depth knowledge of Google Cloud, including IAM, networking, GKE or Cloud Run, Cloud Armor, and Secret Manager

• Experience with Cloudflare encompassing CDN, WAF, DNS, rules, bot protection, and DDoS mitigation

• Practical experience in establishing a security posture, including least-privilege IAM, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, logging, and alerting

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, or similar tools

• Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes

• Fluent in English

• Must reside in Latin America (LATAM)
