DevOps Engineer, Operations Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Lead the transition of applications to Kubernetes and spearhead cloud migration efforts.

• Collaborate with development teams to enhance production scalability, perform dependency upgrades, apply security patches, and boost performance.

• Develop self-service tools for routine operational tasks.

• Design, create, and maintain reusable CI/CD pipelines for automated, secure, and scalable delivery processes.

• Implement monitoring for services and infrastructure with metrics, dashboards, and actionable alerts utilizing Prometheus and Grafana.

• Oversee metric collection and manage associated costs.

• Configure and troubleshoot load balancing, service networking, and connectivity between services.

• Investigate and resolve production incidents during business hours.

• Trace issues across application, network, and infrastructure layers.

• Contribute to postmortems and implement permanent solutions to root causes.

• Identify recurring issues or tasks and establish long-term resolutions.

• Define and manage cloud infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code methodologies.

• Administer Linux systems that support container and cloud environments.

• Document infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and operational runbooks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps or related roles.

• Strong Linux administration capabilities.

• Excellent understanding of cloud environments, containers, and container orchestration technologies, particularly Kubernetes.

• Practical experience with at least one major cloud provider; AWS or Tencent preferred, with transferable experience in GCP/Azure.

• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code implementations.

• Comprehensive understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, automation, distributed computing, high availability, and security best practices.

• Hands-on production experience with monitoring and logging tools, including Prometheus and Grafana or similar alternatives.

• Relevant certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or equivalent cloud certifications are advantageous.
