DevOps Engineer – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and continually enhance the foundational M&O platform and services for observability and data quality.

• Ensure the stability, availability, and performance of essential applications and data infrastructure by applying SRE principles.

• Create intelligent systems capable of detecting, diagnosing, and automating or semi-automating the resolution of technical challenges, bottlenecks, and anomalies.

• Establish data quality metrics that assess Timeliness, Consistency, Completeness, Accuracy, Validity, and Uniqueness across supply chain pipelines and data sources.

• Develop and oversee unified dashboards utilizing tools like Grafana, Power BI, or Databricks.

• Streamline infrastructure and operations through Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, alongside Python and Shell scripting.

• Integrate and optimize Fivetran, AKS, Kafka, Azure SQL Server, Databricks, and Flink within the Azure environment.

• Implement FinOps practices and reporting mechanisms to monitor cloud utilization and expenditures, aiming to identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Examine incidents, performance patterns, and data quality concerns to facilitate ongoing enhancement.

• Deliver precise and timely insights to support business decisions while ensuring compliance with data integrity and auditability standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or a comparable role.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure.

• Proficiency with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerized environments.

• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Strong scripting and automation abilities using Python and Shell scripting.

• Familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus, and observability and monitoring solutions.

• Solid understanding and practical application of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.

• Experience with Kafka, Azure SQL Server, Databricks, Flink, and Fivetran.

• Background in infrastructure automation, system monitoring, performance optimization, and incident management.
