DevOps Engineer – AWS, GitHub Actions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Revamp the company’s infrastructure.

• Enhance production support.

• Lead a CI/CD transformation initiative.

• Establish a robust DevOps function internally.

• Collaborate closely on a daily basis with Oscar.

• Transition the company’s AWS codebase into GitHub Actions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in AWS infrastructure and operations, encompassing EC2, Auto Scaling, Load Balancers, VPC networking fundamentals, and operational troubleshooting.

• Proficiency in GitHub Actions, including workflow design, reusable workflows, secrets/OIDC, and migrating existing pipelines.

• Knowledge of CI/CD and deployment automation, focusing on pipeline design, standardization, and release management practices.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, specifically using Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Experience in monitoring and observability, including dashboard design, alerting strategies, and monitoring cleanup and rationalization.

• Proficient with Datadog or a similar monitoring tool.

• Background in cost optimization and capacity planning, including AWS spend analysis, resource optimization, and scaling/de-scaling strategies.

• Knowledge of AWS security practices, including WAF administration and security best practices.

• Experience in production support, particularly in incident detection and response processes.

• Datadog administration and optimization experience (preferred).

• Familiarity with Slack integrations for alerting (preferred).

• Experience with containers: ECS, EKS, or Docker (preferred).

• Scripting experience with Python or Bash (preferred).

• Background in financial services or other regulated environments (preferred).

• AWS certification: SysOps Administrator, Solutions Architect, or DevOps Engineer Professional (preferred).
