DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.

📋 Description

• Serve as the subject matter expert for a specific service in collaboration with the associated software team.

• Offer operational support during software deployments.

• Address production incidents as they arise.

• Create automation tools for infrastructure to reduce manual tasks.

• Identify and rectify potential issues before they escalate.

• Ensure high availability for managed services.

• Implement infrastructure solutions required by product teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in Linux systems, including shell scripting and performance optimization.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Internet technologies and protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and SSL.

• Prior experience in managing a large-scale, high-uptime environment.

• Proficiency in coding with Python, PHP, Perl, Ruby, or another interpreted language.

• Familiarity with the deployment and maintenance of web applications.

• Experience with a configuration management tool like Ansible.

• Understanding of general monitoring principles and tools, including Zabbix and New Relic.

• Advanced proficiency in English.

• Availability to work Monday through Friday, from 09:00 to 18:00 Uruguay time.
